- Accumulator
- A single bet that links multiple selections; all must win for the bet to pay out.
- AML
- Anti-Money Laundering; regulations that require sportsbooks to detect and report suspicious financial activity.
- Arbitrage
- Betting on all possible outcomes of an event across different books to guarantee a profit regardless of result.
- Asian Handicap
- A handicap system that eliminates the draw option and offers split handicaps to reduce risk.
- Bankroll Management
- The practice of setting and sticking to a budget for betting to avoid financial trouble.
- BTTS
- Abbreviation for Both Teams To Score; a bet that both sides will score at least one goal.
- Cash Out
- A feature allowing you to settle a bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or limiting a loss.
- Closing Line
- The final odds offered just before a market closes, often used to measure betting skill.
- Deposit Match
- A bonus that matches a percentage of your deposit, subject to wagering requirements.
- Edge
- An advantage a bettor believes they have over the bookmaker’s odds, often due to superior information.
- Free Bet
- A no-cost bet credited by a sportsbook, usually with certain conditions attached.
- Juice
- The commission a sportsbook charges on a bet, typically reflected in the -110 line for point spreads.
- KYC
- Know Your Customer; the process operators use to verify a bettor’s identity and prevent fraud.
- Live Betting
- Betting on a match while it is in progress, with odds that update as the game unfolds.
- Moneyline
- A bet on which team will win the match, with odds expressed as a positive or negative number.
- Odds Boost
- A promotion that increases the odds on a specific selection, offering a higher potential payout.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals/scores in a match will be higher or lower than a set line.
- Parlay
- A bet that combines two or more selections into one wager, paying only if all selections win.
- Point Spread
- A handicap given to the favorite team to level the betting field, expressed as points the favorite must win by.
- ROI
- Return on Investment; a measure of profit relative to the amount wagered, expressed as a percentage.
- Self-Exclusion
- A tool that lets you voluntarily ban yourself from betting on the platform for a set period.
- Straight Bet
- A single wager on one outcome, with no combinations or multiple selections.
- Value Bet
- A bet where the odds offered are higher than the true probability of the outcome, giving an edge.
- Wagering Requirement
- The number of times you must bet a bonus amount before it can be withdrawn.
